As I was scanning the internet this morning, I came across this very interesting article about Facebook ads. More specifically, how clicks on their ads could be generated by bots. (meaning fake clicks costing advertisers big money for no results)
That means that all your advertising budget could be going in the pockets of Facebook executives instead of getting genuine traffic to your offers. This scandal will definitely rock the internet marketing world if this is true!
Since advertising on social media has been a big part of my business this year, I went ahead and checked my own stats to draw my own conclusions.
I first got started with media buying after my mentor, Scott Rewick coached me on how he generated a multi-million dollar business online thanks to paid traffic.
He explained to me that although free traffic can generate some sales, it’s nowhere near what paid advertising does , simply because it is so laser targeted.
But what really struck me about his strategy is how little time is required to achieve incredible results.
Indeed, in the first quarter of 2012 I ran a campaign and spent approx $3,000 in Facebook ads and generated a $15,000 sale. That’s $12,000 in profit! Not too bad right?
I’ve also run other campaigns selling affiliate offers and generated sales using that exact same strategy.
So in short I have not seen evidence in my own campaigns that would lead me to believe Facebook ads scam accusation are true, but I’ll keep my eye’s peeled and keep you posted if that changes.
By the way, if you’d like to find out exactly how Scott generates $100 a day with media buying (online ads), you can watch his webinar presentation here:

I look forward to hearing your success stories!
